Well, I suppose it had to happen sometime. I've been getting a lot of spam comments on this blog, so I've switched to moderating comments. Naughty spammers.
Remember this can? I do. We always ate Spam when we went camping. And I LIKED it. Salt and fat, I guess.
I wanted to share what I get to see everyone morning at about 6:30 a.m., up at the bus stop with my youngest (who isn't so young any more). We just had the truck washed, so the sunrise is reflecting off of the hood. Looks like an abstract painting.
I finished two little skelly pirate dolls. They look like they're waiting to go to the dentist. Slightly anxious.
And I finished one dancing skelly painting. This is the 'before'.
And this is the 'after'. The colors are much brighter that these in person, but you get the idea. Happy skeletons dancing in a graveyard with a little church in the background. There's a dog skeleton hopping around, and a tiny cat skeleton sitting on top of a tombstone.
A couple of weeks ago, I decided to get back into collage and this little dog popped into my head. I used paper (tissue paper, scrapbook paper, and doilies), fabric remnants, and lots of gel medium. I used my brand spanking new inktense pencils, too.
I was on Facebook and saw this trailer. Part of me wants to live this small. Just chuck out everything that doesn't fit in something this size. Of course, once the DH and I squeeze in here, there would be no room for my art supplies, so I'd need to drag another trailer behind me. A studio trailer. And another trailer for my dogs and cats to play in.
And I am betting kids and guests won't fit in here with me and the DH.
Nope. I'd need a trailer train.
They'll see me coming for miles. Toot! Toot!
