New work from the bat cave...

Can I see a show of hands for those of us who are ready for SPRING? Yes, yes, I do see you all waving at me with frosty fingers. Put your hands back in your pockets now.

Ah, well, winter. Good news about cold weather is that indoors becomes a lot more attractive. Glass of milk is half full, people!

And while I have been in the bat cave (with two cats completely covering the heating vent), here's what I've been up to:

Lenora...I was hoping she looked like a ghost but the vote here at home is that she's a skelly bride.

I finished Gertie. I've been wanting to make a pumpkin girl for awhile. (Actually, since before Halloween which would made a lot more sense. But hey, I'm getting a jump start on things!)

I started another dancing skellys painting.

Good days for making soup, writing and art. I hope you're all staying warm.
And if, by any chance, you're walking along a sunny beach barefoot, or gazing out on a warm desert sunset, I am truly happy for you.
I think.

  1. We're not on a sunny beach, but it's probably warm by your standards. :~) Of course, don't come visit in the summer or you'll think we live in Hell. LOVE your skelly bride and pumpkin girl, and the dancing skellies is such a promise with that black and white...can't wait to see it finished!

  3. Love them. Its never to early for pumpkins and ghosties. No beach for me but my friends are going twice and I'm just a little jealous. I would love to feel the sun. Today we had wind chills of zero!

What I said was that your dolls are awesome, that's it's cold over here and my hands were in my pockets and that, thank you for sharing, plus I hope you are doing well.:)Now I'm going to copy this in case it doesn't publish and if it doesn't, then I'll email you this comment.:) Take care.

  5. I love both of your dolls but I really adore the white ghost girl!
    you know me and white!
Except for snow, which we are supposed to get at least 8 inches tomorrow! Grrrr or I guess, Brrrrr.
My dogs do the same thing when I'm in the tub! They lay on the vent so that the bathroom gets so cold I don't want to get out of the bath tub!

  8. Yep Pam, I would have to say bride too. Love her lace dress, so lovely. The weather here has been up and down the last couple of nights we had a hard freeze and dang it man, it was cold.
Wishing you a warm cozy day!

  11. Pam, I maybe one of the only people in the world who likes Winter, Spring around here means a lot of mud and Summer, well that brings thunder and while I am a big thunder fan my dog Bella is not, so I am enjoying the quiet. It has been a rough Winter this year though and I am a little ready for Spring.
    These dolls are darling.
    Happy sewing.

  12. I loves you Pam and those mouths are fab.

I could perhaps be committed involuntarily, clutching and surrounded by all my doll friends created by you! It's not normal to be enamored by gertie and Lenora , is it? :-)

    Love!

  14. Glass half full kinda gal? Absolutely. And by that, I mean make mine half full of vodka, not milk. :)

Aaaaah, gotta love these gals! Makes me want to do a skelly dance too. Lenora's shock of hair is fabulous! If I squint, she could be a dandelion head. Hehehehe. Your creations make me giddy. And that's even better than vodka.

The thought of your dogs going crazy for the wee frog cracked me up! Have a great weekend!

  16. Hey Pam, sounds like you're keeping warm and busy!! As you know, being familiar with desert living, we out here love Spring when the wind and real exchanges aren't happening, like right now. I think I just saw goat fly by...oh wow, there blows a field of red chile from the farms up the way in NM...hate this!! LOL

Love your new little creations and need to add something special to my "Muses Corner" that has Pam Smallcomb written all over it!! Take care, my friend and stay warm...oh hell, there blows that mariachi band from the next street over!!!

    xxoo,
    Georgina

  18. Frosty even here where it usually isn't.
And wind...oh boy! But promises of fine
weather right around the bend. I think
Lenora is more ghosty than skelly, but
great no matter what category she's in.

  20. Hi Pam,

whisper whisper it is sunny and warm over here cough cough I do apologize!

I adore Lenora and Gertie! Love that mouth full of teeth on Gertie, so much fun.

I am busy driving myself crazy, having joined an Easter Swap like a complete nuthead. I have bought so many little Easter whatnots for my partner that I am about to go hungry. So very silly. Course I could always keep them for myself and then it wouldn't be so silly bwahhahhahahha.

I finally sat down to begin my spoolie for my partner AND my printer will not print the colors correctly. ARGH! I have been having problems but now I need it to work perfectly for her gift and I think I will be out buying a new printer later. WAH! This is the second large format printer we've bought and they've both sucked BIG TIME. First a Canon, now an Epson. I might as well just buy a regular inexpensive one. sheesh.

Sorry, went off on a tangent there!

Hope you're doing okay! Sending you all lots of hugs,
    Sally xoxooxo
