WIPs and some other new stuff...

I know I said I was going to start making some new Halloween dolls, but that was before I found this box labeled "Unfinished projects". (I think I should get extra points for putting them in a box AND labeling it.)

I've got bodiless heads.

I'm sure at some point I knew exactly what this was going to be.

A guy that needs hands and feet.

Bodies that need arms and legs.

A body in a box within the box.

Unfinished ornaments.

Trust me, there were more. It was a regular graveyard of unfinished Halloween things. I felt a little like Boris Karloff as I sifted through it all.

I did finish a couple of other things.

A small skelly painting.

I feel like this next girl a lot.

Drained and confused. :)

These are my pocket zombie dolls (about 6 inches tall). I discovered that making smaller stuffed dolls is harder. But I really like the idea of a pocket zombie doll.

They could come in handy in certain social situations. Like when you want to be left alone. Just take it out of your pocket and wave it around. They'd be perfect! And be sure to talk to your zombie doll. That will help clear the room as well.

Okay, I'm off to sew on some limbs!

Sorry about the late pick! I ate too many chocolate Easter eggs and too much mashed potatoes (not together) and spent a day lolling like a beached whale and completely lost track of time.

Taking a little spring break - and a giveaway!

I hope you are all getting a piece of the weather we've been having.

I can't remember a prettier spring since we moved here.

I'm going to take a few days and just enjoy it all. Two boys are home, and the DH and I might try to pry their fingers away from their keyboards and go do something. It's a thought.

Anyhow, I'm having a little spring giveaway, to celebrate the return of sunshine and green. (I am not celebrating the return of my allergies, however.)

Here is something I found while organizing my work area. It's a little pen and pencil drawing I did awhile back (decoupaged onto a 5x7 canvas). It's called, "The Novice". I think it makes sense for this time of year with all the fledging going on.
