Some new work...

It feels like I haven't blogged in months. Part of that was touring with OWOH, which was amazing, and a big thank you to Lisa for organizing it. There are a ton of really creative people out there! I am so happy to have met you, and to make new blog friends. I will post soon about my wins (yes, plural!).

Life has been, well, complicated, and I am feeling that 'sandwiched' thing you read about. I'm thinking I am a pastrami sandwich. With coleslaw. But maybe that's because I am on a diet and all I think about is food.

Being a sandwich can make you distracted. You know how it is, you have so many things to think about, and so many things on your 'do list', that you tend not to focus on the task at hand.

For instance, I was making dinner the other night, and poking holes in the potatoes with a fork before I microwaved them (nothing is too good for my family!), and I stuck the fork into my THUMB. Honestly, I had to laugh. It reminded me of the time I was trying to use a pair of scissors to poke a hole in a piece of cardboard, and it did go through the cardboard, and straight into my hand.

However, personal stabbings aside, I have been squeezing in art (and writing!) time, here and there, and I wanted to share some new stuff with you. Some of these pieces are headed to etsy, but the scary pumpkin doll, Sweet Charlotte, is staying here, because my oldest son loves it and thinks we should keep it here at Casa Smallcomb. Who knew that a bio-chem college grad would take a shine to a scary pumpkin girl? It just goes to show, life is full of little surprises.
(Love Song - mixed media with sculpey heart, inspired by Anne!)

(Raven Girl Rising - paperclay and a spool)

(Hope - paperclay on a little wooden cube)

(Sweet Charlotte - I will be making another scary pumpkin girl since this one was so much fun!)

(Lottie and Mad Dog - it's wabbit season!)

I hope you are not feeling like a sandwich, that you are not on a diet, and that you look before you stab your potato. Maybe potatoes should come with warnings. "Please don't stab this potato without looking, genius."

Thank you all for coming to visit me, and for entering. I have had so much fun getting to know new people (and getting cramps in my hands from typing! haha). It has been a lovely blog tour!
